A category is used to manage types of devices in a house or building. The ‘Category' function is designed to enable the user separate types of devices into groups, so for example devices that fall into a lighting or security category can be arranged into separate headings.

A 'Category' can be easily be made by clicking on 'Create New...' after click on the 'Group' tab.
