Device Address:

Step 3; the device address is the appliance setting that allows the controller to identify and alter the state of the device. Please note; that every controller i.e. Domia Lite Controller, X10, CBUS, etc. have different ways of setting the address. Help on how to set the addresses for different appliances can be found in the appliance controllers help files.

Setting an address for a device

Example of setting an address for an appliance:
For the Domia Lite appliance setting the address is preformed by turning the leaver to set its number (address). In this example the address is set to ‘A01' meaning that when ‘A01' is inserted into the ‘Device Address' (fig.) the controller will identify it and control it under the name assigned to it i.e. ‘Mirror light'.
Please note; this method of setting an address only applies to the Domia Lite appliance. Different appliances may have different methods of setting the address.
